Water seeks it's own level

I have a slide that is about 10 ft tall. If I cut the pump off, will the water in the slide fall to the level of the pool water at some point? I am asking this because I would like to be able to drain the slide and then cut it off, at the valve, after it has drained. Then all I would need to worry about is keeping the pad warm and running the pool when it is really cold.

The pipe runs underground, presumably at the same level as the pipes that go to the returns. There is a concrete deck so the underground piping near the pool would be at least under that. By the way, the pad is way below the water level. I appreciate your help!
