Pool still leaking after closing - HELP

Hello,

I closed my pool on Sept 12 after dye tests were done and any leaks found were plugged. The pool is covered and I have been checking the level to be sure

I lost 1/4 inch in 5 days in the pool and it is getting cold here in Michigan. What should I do?

Will it possible for a leak detetction service to fix any leaks in winter

Concerned as I do not want the water to drain out completely!

Sorry to hear about your leaking. A few questions to help clarify for those here who may be able to help:
- What type of pool do you have (AG, Vinyl, plaster, FB)
- How many skimmers/main drains to you have?
- How many return jets?
- Who closed your pool?
- Was the water lowered, and if so, how far down?
- Where were the previous leaks you referred to that were fixed?
TFP'ers may have a few more questions, but all of this may help clarify your situation to get you some good guidance.

I lost 1/4 inch in 5 days

Hard to call that a leak. Was it covered or uncovered during the 1/4 inch loss. Regardless, I would not chase a leak that small.......refill as needed.

1) Plaster
2)1 skimmer/1 main drain
3) 3 returns

4) Pool company that I have used before
5) Water was lowered 3 inches below returns
6) Prior leaks needed epoxy around skimmer and return

I was worried about getting it to refill (if I have to) in the middle of winter and snow. I guess I will have to use an indoor faucet and run the hose to the pool if it comes to that.

It is good to know that it does not need any chasing. It was covered.
