ok so changed out my emerson 1HP pump to the pentair vs. just trying to figure out how long and what speed to run the pump. i have been very bad with my pool and running my old pump for about 14 hours a day. not really working about electricity cause i have solar on the house but would like to save some now and be better about it. pool is about 20,000 gallons and pump is about 40' from pool. 1.5" suction line, and 2" return. pump is about 6" above skimmer. i do have solar for pool on roof. just wondering if i should run pump that long with different speeds to match electrical tiers or just run for couple hours a day. my kids like the pool hot so i usually keep it around 90-92 during winter. thanks for the help. i tried some spread sheets but could not figure it out.
