New PB evaluation in Prosper Texas

Hi All,

I'm located in prosper, TX, just north of Dallas and we are on the evaluation process with the local PB's getting the numbers/quotes and ideas and wanted to share some info about the first PB numbers that we got from last week.
This will be our first pool and we have so many questions and concerns, please check the list with the Pool/spa specs with the equipment and let me know your comments or recommendations specially on the equipment, the first impression that I have is that the PB is trying to add a lot of equipment and I just want to make sure that’s necessary to have 2 pumps, etc.. ….

any comments ideas or recommendations are welcome....

The first comment i have is that the pool builder is doing you no favors with a couple of the items he is suggesting.

The DEL Eclipse is an ozone generator. There is no need for ozone in an outdoor residential pool.

The RB320 is a tricolor puck erosion chlorine feeder. We find that use of these types of equipment for primary chlorination leads to over stabilization (about half of a tricolor puck is stabilizer), which leads,to more problems down the road. We believe the primary source of chlorine should be non stabilized - either a salt water chlorine generator or a liquid chlorine injection system.

Thanks Tim5055 for your comment and Iam reading all the pool school information.... any other recommendation on the equipment, do you think I need two pumps for my pool features and spa?..
