Question What size pool for an in-floor pool cleaning system

I wanted to get an in-floor cleaning system, but one of the salesmen told me it's more for bigger pools, that I don't really need it for a 12' x 24' pool.
The pool will be in a pool cage (I live in southwest Florida).

If I go with the 12' x 24', would a skimmer be enough? --Is the in-floor cleaning system overkill?

If I go with a bigger pool, say about 13' x 28', is that also a size pool where I can get away with just a skimmer, or would the in-floor cleaning system make more sense in this case?

    thanks in advance.

    Welcome to TFP!!

Now this is just my opinion, but I think the salesman did you a favor. The only time I really see folks talking about in floor cleaning is to complain about them. I would take the money you have budgeted and get a really nice robot.

But, that does not mean that there are not thousands of happy in floor owners out there who don't post anything because they are happy with them.
