    Pump motor fail...

We have a Waterway sand filter and the motor seized the other day. It's about 8 years old. Our pressure gauge went kaput a few years back as well. We just replaced the sand this year and other than the pressure gauge going out, the filter has performed well. Should we just we replace the motor or the filter as well?
