    Closing heater Q...

This was my first season with a heater , i have a Rheem 106K heater. When it comes time to close i know , disconnect gas line , water inlet/out.... Should there be any service or cleaning done inside the heater after i bring it in the house??

I just drain the water out of mine. It stays connected on the pad all winter.

If you unhook the gas line, make sure you cap it with an appropriate fitting to prevent anything from getting inside there.
