Closing question

Since I don't drain my agp...I use a skimmer cover....would it be ok to clean and vacuum pool now and put my pillows and winter cover on now while the water temp is 70ish...continue to keep my chlorine and ph in line and run pump until water is consistently 60 or lower...and then pull cover back a little and follow the agp closing procedures and disconnect equipment and plug return line....is there any harm/risk in doing this?...I'd rather vacuum and cover now while temps are still decent....thoughts?

I'm right next door n put mine to bed. Even with it warm during day, it will be fine come April.
