I forgot to test my cya before I started the shock treatment. Is it ok to test while the chlorine level is so high?

There should be no interference in the CYA test from high FC levels. How high are they?
The SLAM values require that you have to know the CYA so you will know how much chlorine to add. How did you figure your chlorine dosage?
Yeah I know. I didn't think about the rain we just had that overflowed my pool before I started. I just went with what I had as the value before the rain and having to drain some of the water off. It was at 35. I used the tfp Calc to get my shock level.

If your concern is the change in CYA because of rain, it should now be lower than before the rain. As long as that is the case @17ppm you should should be high of shock level but a quite CYA test will confirm
Unless you got literal FEET of rain then your CYA is not going to change enough to make a difference. If that 35 was recent then you don't need to retest. You should also treat your CYA as 40, due to the variability of the test it is a good idea to round up to the next highest unless it is very close to the 30 line.
