DE leaking into Pool

Small amounts of DE had been leaking into our pool. We purchased a complete filter grid set, which includes the manifold. We installed a new o ring on the standup pipe, as that was worn. it is still leaking de into the pool, could de be leaking from our backflush valve ?

Is the DE going into the pool via the returns or is it backing up and out through the skimmer? Check to make sure the grids are totally pushed up into the manifold. Is their an air bleed tube and screen? It could be the BW valve, so check the piston o-rings.

Thanks, the de is coming out of the returns. The grids felt like they were properly seated in the manifold, and the unit came with a new air bleed tube\ screen. After running it for a few days, notices large amounts of de on the bottom of the pool. We had a pool person come out and check the filter. He said he couldn't find any problems, vacuumed the de out and said it was working fine. Looked like the flow had increased quite a bit on the return line. We backwashed and recharged the de filter, and now seeing the same problem - de coming of the return.
