Cracked Dome

I have a fine hairline crack in the dome for my in-floor cleaning system. The part costs $175.00. Is there a way that I can repair it? The crack is about 11/2" long and runs horizontal to the black sharpie mark.

There is a product called Plast-Aid that I use for hairline cracks, particularly in acrylic shells, that would probably do the trick. Sand and clean the crack from the inside first, then smear on a couple of light coats.

SCP stocks it, so you might find it at a local store if you call around. I only know of one that carries it around here but I haven't looked any further.
