recycling pool filters

hi..any ideas on recycling used pool filters? They seem mainly paper except for the plastic
top and bottom...We're in Sammamish (WA) and so far no luck with google searching
or our local King County recycling program. Perhaps I could at least cut off the plastic
and able to recycle the paper?

Cartridges are usually polyester. In any case, you could contact your local department for guidance.
