Advice for grout repair

I'm going to attempt to repair/patch some grout on tiles above the high water mark this weekend. Is there anything I should know or be concerned about before I get started?

I don't have any loose or missing tiles, I just want to fill in some gaps in the grout to prevent water from getting in there.

Thanks! I saw that thread. I was looking for "tips from the pros" kind of advice......do this, don't do that, etc.
