SGS Breeze creates chlorine while in spa mode with mp water flowing thru the cell!

Just installed a new SGS Breeze system, it is installed in pool return line above all pool equiptment (there is a bypass with a check valve after the cell that dumps back into spa side for spa spill over.

The unit is wired to the Pentair intelletouch control panel to the load side of the pump relay to only power on while pump is running.

The system appears to work great in pool mode. The problem is that when in spa mode (pump obviously is running so there is power to the unit) the salt cell still produces chlorine with no water flowing through the cell.

Would that point to a defective flow switch inside the cell?

If there isnt any water flow through the cell, then it cant make chlorine. It will still try to though.
The cell has got to have sufficient flow and salt to actually make chlorine.

A flow switch does not disable the SWG from trying to make chlorine. It just tells the controller there is no flow through it.

If there is no flow through the cell, and you dont have a LOw FLow alarm on the controller, then you probably have a bad flow switch I would think.
