Pool Cover

Are mesh covers good--I was reading that the snow melts into the pool! Doesn't seem good, but I wasn't sure.

I use a mesh cover and we get plenty of snow here. Nothing wrong with a free refill of the pool in spring. I'd rather do that than mess with a solid cover that will have extreme sag and having to run a pump cover until after the water freezes.
