Helping a friend out with fiberglass pool

My friend has just purchased a home with a 14x36 fiberglass pool. I am currently slammimg it for them. It has gotten algae within the past 4 days. I am not familiar with fiberglass pools at all. See below my pool specs. I am wondering if you guys can give me some pointers/tips on fiberglass pools.

    Here's some things I know:
1436 seems to be 3.5/8 ft
One skimmer under the diving board
    Hayward sand filter
Not sure on pump. Labeling was worn off
Pentair in line chlorinator...uses 3'' pucks.

There is really nothing at all different about maintaining a fiberglass pool than your vinyl pool.

Have you not started the SLAM yet? Just get that pH up in the lower 7s and SLAM away.
