    intex 2500 gallon pump

    does anyone have a pic for the input wiring? my power cord seems to have met a lawnmower

    What exactly do you need to know? I would assume there on 3 wires in the cord.

    This can not be correct. The wires most certainly matter for 120v applications. There is a hot, neutral, and ground.

    nonpolarized plugs have been out of standard for decades.

    Jason is correct in stating that it does matter in U.S. 120v applications. While the hot/neutral alternate 60 times a second, where those wires are connected inside a panel makes a difference. All "white" neutral wires are connected to a common bus bar in the panel. If you swap the wires downstream of the panel you have the possibility of applying voltage to the neutral bus causing a back feed.

    The electrical color codes in Europe and US are different.
    Paul is staing the code in Europe.

    The color code in US for 220 is
    REd Hot
    Black Hot
    Green Ground

    for 120 the code in the US is
    Black Hot
    White Neutral
    Green Ground
