Have had a standard solar pool cover on a salt water pool on Molokai, HI for about 1.5 years. It has disintegrated and needs to be replaced. Anyone have more than a one data point experience with solar covers in Hawaii? Does thickness matter when the sun is so hot? Thank you.

Welcome to TFP!!!The general consensus is that any solar cover will fall apart after 1-2 seasons, regardless of thickness. Thus, buy the cheapest you can find.
