Pool basketball hoop pole... where to get a replacement?

We have an in-ground pool in AZ with a deck hole for a pool-side basketball hoop. The hoop itself and backboard are fine, but since we have a salt pool, the bottom of the pole that the backboard attaches to has corroded, so I need to replace it. For the life of me, I cannot find just the pole. Any help or suggestions?

I'd go with a stainless piece to replace it with. Check with some fabrication/welding shops, or steel suppliers.

I wish I could find such a place around here that had something that would work...

Not sure PVC would be strong enough to hold the backboard and rim up (it's a full breakaway one with a very heavy backboard).
