Spa Filter Cleaning

Hi Folks,
I just wanted to see what people do to clean their spa filter (360 gallon hot tub). The filter is a cylindrical filter maybe 1.5 feet long. The directions I was originally given were to clean with a hose once a week by hosing from the inside out. And once a month by soaking overnight in a filter cleaning solution. Does this sound about right? Any recommendations on a filter cleaning solution, or any other recommendations?

If your filter is a pleated paper looking type (probably is), check out the Unicel website, for cleaning instructions.
