    Introducing myself

Wow, what a community this appears to be! I am new to pool ownership, and have read a bunch of posts from this site.

I am searching for more specific advice on which test kit to purchase.

    Thanks!

    Welcome!

You're at a disadvantage living in Canuckistan. You can't get a TF100 shipped directly to you and a Taylor K-2006 will likely cost you close to what you paid for the pool itself. Monopolies are great if you own them...

Use the search function. Then you can find out what others have done, whether freight forwarders, alternate kits, relatives south of the border.

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!
