DIY Sand Filter

So as I was looking around for info on my sand filter I came across this beaut of an instructable to build you own sand filter.

I highly doubt the pool ever really came clean, as It was loaded with play sand as well.

Interesting. But for what he spent in parts and time, he could've purchased a real Intex sand filter and pump.
