    Chemicals needed

Hi everyone! Our pool guy up and quit on us Now we are trying to do the pool maintenance on our own.

What chemicals do I need to properly maintain my pretty pool. I have chlorine tablets and acid. What kind of shock, with or without chlorine? Whats is the best for black algae? I am so lost and feel defeated but I really want to do this on my own.

Welcome. It will be impossible for us to give you------and more importantly, impossible for you to follow-----without getting one of our recommended test kits in Pool School. Especially since you're already asking about black algae. Get the proper test equipment and you CAN do this on your own. We'll make sure!
