Adding stablizer granules to skimmer DE filter root of issues?

Hello all,

I am wondering if by pouring stabilizer granules into both skimmer baskets has caused my DE filter to leak at top and middle of it? Could that possibly be causing issues at the filter level that would cause leaks to it? Live and learn this season ugh. First pool.

Did you put the granules in a sock or just pour them in the skimmers? If you just poured them directly in the skimmers, I would say that it could be a possibility if they passed through in granular form. I am not certain though. I hope you figure it out.
