Very happy with TFP, using since May '15

Hello there. This is the way to go. A little time with the chemistry set is better than scraping algae. Cool to find a group whose sole intention seems to be helping me enjoy a clear, sparkling pool. Thanks everyone.

So where's the picture of this sparkling gem of a pool?

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!

Thank all of you for helping me get the pool looking this good. I was living in the dark for over 10 years until I stumbled upon BBB method on the internet. / I really don't know pool construction types: Is this plaster, gunnite or what? Thanks again. I appreciate you. Ron

Gunite and plaster are interchangeable terms. The shell is generally gunite and the smooth surface inside is plaster. That's what your's looks like.

Your pool has a gunite shell and a plaster finish over the gunite.
