I have an old metal skimmer from around 1960 and cant find a 15" skimmer cover. I have spent hours online searching. Any ideas?

Start calling independent pool stores. Start in Seattle and move outward. I'd call in the LA area after Seattle.
For example in Sacramento I'd start with Best Pool Supply.
Just call and explain the problem -- Its amazing what some of the old pool guys know and have in their shops.

You could also go to a local PlexiGlass shop and see if they have something strong enough they can cut for you?
