Cool Kyle from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

My first swimming pool maintenance experience was back in 2013 when I worked as a superintendent. It was a small, outdoor pool right under the old trees. That pool required at least couple hours to prepare it for opening. Chemical balance was hard to maintain, so after I switched jobs, old tenants say, the pool turned dark green on the third day and city health inspector shut it down for a week.

Now I am a Resident Manager in another building, where the pool is indoors. The indoor pool is very easy to maintain after the outdoor pool. The chemical balance doesn't change much and there are barely 10 people per day using it. Before me, they had way too much chlorine and PH too high. But since I took over, the water looks very welcoming and crystal clear!
Kyle. I manage a residential complex and taking care of the swimming pool is one of my duties. It is an indoor, 36 000 gallons (140 000 liters), Marbelite, heated pool, with sand filter, and Jacuzzi 1.5 HP pump. Normally I aim to keep the following chemical composure in the pool: FC = 1.5 - 2.5; PH = 7.4 - 7.6; TA = 80 - 90; CH = 200 - 300; Saturation Index = 0.0 - +0.2 Testing Kit: Taylor K-2006

Hello and welcome! Here are some of our most popular pages:
Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry
Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart
    Poolmath calculator
    Pool School - Recommended Levels
Pool School - Recommended Pool Chemicals

Of course everything hinges upon accurate water testing, so I hope you have a good Taylor K-2006 on-hand to read FC and CC at the higher level needed based on your corresponding CYA. If you have any questions about that or anything else, please let us know. Welcome!
