    Cheapest source for Stabilizer/CYA?

Need to get some and have no idea what the markup is at the local pool stores (but I'm sure it's there). In Austin , BTW

Skip the pool store and just go to Walmart. They usually sell it in 4 pound containers.

Second that! The pool store is probably not going to be the cheapest. Walmart, Lowes or Home Depot are most likely going to be close in price. It seems to average 3.50-4.00/lb here in CA.

I just bought 4lb of stabilizer (HTH brand) at Walmart for $15.74 + tax. They also sell "Pool Chlorinating Liquid" (aka bleach) at 10% strength(!) for just $2.50 + tax.

Google either "pool stabilizer" or "cyanuric acid" and take a look at the Google shopping results. I've gotten it as low as $2.50/lb.

The real price difference is liquid vs dry. The dry is much much cheaper.
