    where to add salt ?

Hi. just built a new pool. need to put in salt for the first time. my pool builder suggested i pour the salt into the skimmers. but i've read on-line that you said pour the salt directly into shallow portion of pool. which is best? please advise & thank you.

No, just spread it around the pool bottom and then brush it to help it dissolve. Wait 24 hours for the salt to dissolve before turning on the SWG.
