Need tricks for removing horizontal bars in an Intex Ultra Frame pool

    Hi everyone,

I desperately need help taking down our Intex Ultra Frame Pool. We bought our 12x24x52 pool in June, but had several side supports collapse a few days ago, just past the return date (of course). We've been taking the pool down while we wait for replacement parts (they are out of stock, of course). We can't seem to get the horizontal bars out of the liner sleeve. The liner is stuck to the bar -- it's almost like there is velcro in there. We can loosen the liner in one place, but it sticks in another. We've used compressed air, water under pressure but no luck.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking of using a silicone spray on the bars when we set it up again, but that doesn't help me now.

    Thanks,
    Silver Tiger

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I just assembled the same pool yesterday, filling it up right now. Do you know what caused the collapse? Makes me a little nervous...

Can you twist it inside the liner as you're pulling it out?

You have to pry the liner away from the bar. I just used my fingers and yes, it is tedious work. However, after you get the first few off, it does get easier. Pry with your finger and lots of wiggling the bar.

Did you get it all taken apart? I was gonna suggest some dish soap diluted in a spray bottle. Maybe all you need is a little surfactant to loosen the grip of the vinyl. Let us know if you got it taken care of.

When I disassembled mine last year the same thing happened.
I found that simply turning the bar in the sleeve eventually broke it loose.
They do stick pretty good though!
    Good luck!

We had this problem last year so this year when we set up we slathered talcum powder on the poles. We took it down today and those puppies slid right out. Doesn't help when taking down and screaming now. But good to know for next year.

I took a hose and loosened em up by spraying water into the sleeves...was still frustrating but a little easier
