Proper TA level for plaster pool with manual chlorination

My new SpeedStir indicated that my TA was actually 60 and not the 80 that I was getting previously. The TFP Pool School recommends TA of 70-90+ for plaster pools, while the TF-100 test kit suggests 100-120. Which of these ranges is correct?

The higher the TA, the faster the pH will rise. I would leave it or raise it to 80 ppm at the most. Just don't go lower.
