Thread: 1.5 week old plaster, seems good but...

    1.5 week old plaster, seems good but...

    Want to make sure I am OK a few weeks after re plaster.

    Test done around noon.
    FC- 3
    CC-.5
    PH- 7.5
    CH-350
    TA- 60 (going to get baking soda today)
    CYA 35 (ish....still getting used to the test)

    The Pool math calculator is saying my CSI -.12 What should I do to get that number closer to 0?

    13k Gallon IG plaster W/ aggregate finish, re plastered 7/17/15 . Offset rectangle.
    1.5hp 1 speed pump and roughly 100 sqft cartridge filter that will/ need to be replaced in near future.
    TF-100 test kit w/ speedstir.

    Per PoolMath if you brought your TA up to 80,, and your CYA to 50, your CSI would be ZERO

    Why is the target CSI at -0.11 on the pool math calc, when right below the CSI comments it says "Less than -0.6 is suggestive of problems for plaster, tile, stone, and pebble pools.
    Greater than 0.6 is suggestive of problems for all pools."
