I bought a house in January and it previously had a 30foot pool with deck. The previous owner sold the pool/deck/ some gravel to someone.
I just bought a 14x42 round intex pool, it is a temporary solution for one or two summers. (I'm also first time pool owner)

I was looking around for leveling solutions and it all involves removing sod/dirt and putting sand on top. But I was planning on putting foam pads under instead of sand.

What is curently there looks like filtered limestone 1/8"-1/4". And remnants of some green 1/4" foam pad with tar on underside.

Sould I just grab a 2x4 and attach a level to it and try to level it or what?
(This morning I'm spraying weed killer to take care of some gras roots there)

Here's some pictures what I'm talking about.

Thanks!

Did you pull back that black piece in the bottom pic?

IF it look like every thing is flat I would pull up the weeds I could and use 2x4 with a long level on it to see how off the area is.

Remember to go down to level NOT add sand, grave, etc to to up.

Once you have seen how level it is let us know and we can go from there.
