    muratic acid question

    Good morning,

I received my 2 gallons of muratic acid. It appears to be a construction grade, designed for cleaning tiles. There is nothing on it about pool use or % or active ingredients.

Is this going to be ok to lower my pH? I don't want to add anything without checking with the experts first. Once bitten...

    Thanks,
    Mike

Klean-Strip 1 gal. Green Safer Muriatic Acid-GKGM75006 - The Home Depot

apparently, based on the reviews: This stuff will work however you will need to use twice the dosage. Most muriatic acid dosages are based on ~30% concentration of acid, this stuff is ~14%. It will work just be aware its very weak acid concentration.
