Thinking about a pool in Minnesota

Hi - thanks for having this great site. Very informative.

My wife and two kids (ages 1.5/3.5) looove to swim so we're thinking about installing a pool. I'm joining to learn more information so it doesn't turn into a debacle.

What kind of pool are you thinking of? Above ground or inground?
Some folks start with the above ground pools to dabble in, learn the ropes, and then move on to the permanent inground ones.
