Removing algae from floats

We live on a lake and also have a small natural spring area in the yard. So I, oh so gracefully, transferred algae into our pool from a float. I have that lovely situation cleared up, thanks to you fine ppl!!!

Obviously not wanting to reinfect my water----What do you think would be the best way to clean anything that was in the pool during my algae outbreak?
 
Wash it down with a diluted bleach solution. A very generous bleach water wash down and let the items dry in the hot sun might be all it needs.

Be careful to avoid lake or spring water wet bathing suits going into the pool as they can transfer algae cooties into the pool.
