My pool has an older auto-fill mechanism. The fill supply is horizontal and you attach a auto-fill valve to it. This valve has a simple float attached to it.
Its the older standard setup like so which I'm sure many of us have:

Currently I am using this exact valve:
Float-Valve-Dial-Manufacturing-Inc
It is crappy and doesn't work well.
Some issues are that the you can't tighten the float to keep it in the "angle" that you want. I can tighten as much as possible but the float easily slips making the adjustment pointless. Also the value itself is leaky in the sense that it doesn't shut off very well due to the simple brass to brass mechanism.
Can anyone recommend a good replacement?
