My ic40 keeps blowing fuses I cleaned the buildup off the plates still blows fuses. If I unhook the generator the fuse don't blow. It only blows after about 15 minutes after power on.
Once I accidentally poured some copper based algaecide and I think it might contribute to the fuse blowing. I turned off the old cell for one or two months, and there were heavy rains diluted the water, at mean time I used the bleach for a while, then I bought the new cell and it works now. Metal is killer of the cell.
Local pool supply said 5amp fuse is what it takes, wrong I got the old one out of the melted fuse holder it is an 8amp slow blow fuse. Pentair sells 10amp slow blow fuses so I bought one at the hardware store and it seems to be working. I'll keep ya posted.
The 10A250V slow blow fuse is not easy to get. I bought it from Amazon . But still the seller sent me wrong type of fuse, and later on they sent me right one. Which hardware store did you buy from?
