On Saturday, as I was away fishing, my wife called me to tell me that we had a "nickel" size hole in the base/edge of our Intex 22' by 48" pool. She contacted the local pool store to get a patch. She successfully patched the hole, unfortunately, the rip got to be about 8" long with salt water coming out of the pool. I have drained the pool, and have a decision to make..(1) repair the rip and hope for the best, or (2) buy a new intex pool. Does anyone have any suggestions? The pool has been great for 3 years....Sand and Salt filter.

There is a thread where someone took a regular overlap vinyl liner and installed it over top of the Intex ultra-frame.
Let me see if I can find it.... I imagine a 24' would work.
