My CH is a little low (225) for a plaster pool so I am looking to raise it to 260.
Is it ok to swim immediately after adding calcium chloride? Or should I wait until tonight after last swimmer is out?

So your's rises due to replacement of evaporated water with hard water?
In Houston we get a lot of rainfall, so often mine is topped up that way.
This time of year the autofill adds a little.
Obviously my pool is young (3 months) but mine has been locked at 225 since I filled it.

Yes. My tap water is about 130ppm. I did a complete refill 2.5 years ago and my CH is now 450ppm.

While the CH was low, I just kept the pH a little higher to keep the CSI in range. Now I have to try to keep the pH on the lower side. Likely will have to replace the water again in a year or so as the CH gets higher than I want.
