I have a question - I have had an Intex above ground pool for several years (well I am on my third one now) and of course the pumps always break - I am probably on my sixth pump. Well this time I decided to go with a sand filter pump. I have it in the box in my garage - the only thing I have done is take out the instruction manual and start to read. I stopped at the second page where it says it has to be protected from moisture, wind, cold, etc. Okay so my question - how am I supposed to hook it to the pool if it has to be protected from moisture - there is no way I can have it under a cover and out of the rain. Is this what they are trying to say - that it is not supposed to be in the rain. Just trying to decide if I should return it.

No, everyone who upgrades their Intex filter to the sand filter loves them. That is just lawyer talk.
