Help! ugh Intex cleaning "KIT" that only contains vac head

I bought a kit with our 14x48 pool that included a vacuum head. Knowing nothing about pools I didn't realize that well.....this "kit" didn't include everything I needed. Please help me!
I apparently need a skimmer, a long vac hose? And how does this all hook up? I know this a very basic question, but I'm oh so tired of Googling this!!
 
Sorry you did not get a full kit. Can you post a link to the intex cleaning kit you bought? I bought the deluxe kit a few years ago and it came with everything I needed. (Maybe onto the pole). I also did not need a skimmer.

Honestly I will say it is not a good kit though. I now use the pool blaster max for my ag pool and I love it.
