UGH! Intex pool vacuum

I bought a kit with our 14x48 pool that included a vacuum head. Knowing nothing about pools I didn't realize that well.....this "kit" didn't include everything I needed. Please help me!
I apparently need a skimmer, a long vac hose? And how does this all hook up? I know this a very basic question, but I'm oh so tired of Googling this!!

Hi and welcome.

I feel you when it comes to 'kit didn't include'.

For $30-40 you can get a thru wall skimmer (I have a Hayward) that is easy to install and will make vacuuming a breeze.

It will come with everything except the hose, head and pole. Most likely you already have that in some form. But I did buy a better vacuum head.

Look around here and you will see what others end up doing to make Intex life easier.
