High TA and low PH

Hello,

I have an Intex above ground pool with a saltwater filter. I currently have high Total Alkalinity (180) and low ph (6.8). Does anyone have any advice on how to fix both of those, from what I understand Muriatic Acid will lower my ph, which is already low. I also dont want to do anything that will hurt my pool liner or salt water pump.

Any advice is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!

Just let the pH rise on its own. With TA that high it won't take long. Aeration (water Surface disturbance) will, along with your SWG have it up in no time. Have you added acid to lower the pH before this test?
