Pump housing leaking

I've read some threads about leaky pump housings. I'm not sure what type of pump it is, but I can see that there's a leak a the location in the picture.

This is a pic at the front of the impeller housing. I can see water and air-bubbles from the top of silver connector.

Any one have any ideas how to repair this fitting?

Can you take a picture of the pump data plate. You may have to cut the piping and redo the connection. You may want to use a union connection in the future.

turn it off, dry it, then try to unthread it.

If that is a threaded you might only need some plumbing tape to fix.

Well, I finally got frustrated enough to cut the darn thing off. Yipeee, it's threaded in the pump housing. Now to just get a PVC to make the connection and some pool pipe-glue and I'm good to go.
