Extremely high CH...will this work?

I would need more info on these "filters" to decide but I'm very skeptical. Are you sure you have 900CH in your tap water? That's higher than I've ever heard of down there, but it's plausible. Just curious why you assumed you need to add it?

No way to reduce it save RO treatment, but it's hard to find, and very expensive. I heard there was a centex RO treatment business, but understand they went out of business. So, a drain is likely your only Option but it's imperative you watch your pH closely, and start managing your TA, meaning you may want to begin lowering it. If you could post up a full set of numbers we can advise you better.
