Hi TFP,
We bought a house one year ago with a 13,000 gallon Hayward pebblesheen salt pool with A&A in floor jet cleaning system and jacuzzi spill. Other than high pH (Arizona) and some scale, we have had no problems with the pool (first time pool owners). Over the past few months, the in floor pop-ups began to take a lot longer to cycle all of the positions, then this week they ceased changing positions altogether and are stuck. We opened the valve and inspected the gears and impeller (now about six times), taking everything out and putting it back, and adjusting the timing. The impeller does not spin when the pump is turned back on and the in floor valves stay in one position. The impeller looks perfect, no worn spots that we can see. When we have the valve open, everything turns fine manually. We are not sure what to check next to diagnose the specific problem. Pressure to the system is normal, and we recently replaced the filters. We have read all of the threads here on impellers and watched numerous Youtube videos on this system, but we're not sure where to go from here. The pool is about seven years old. Can you help?
Thank you for all of the great info on this site. We have learned so much about taking care of our pool.
