Need Help Choosing Automation System - StaRite SR333 Heater

I'm helping my neighbor choose an automation system. He has a simple setup:

Pentair Intelliflo VS
StaRite SR33 Heater

We are going to add a Jandy valve actuator. I have an Jandy Aqualink RS and will be upgrading to the iAqualink 2.0. Is there a cheaper or simpler automation system out there that allows for pool control from a smartphone?

I would check out the Pentair Suntouch. Not sure if you can add the smartphone module to it or not.

I haven't looked at prices but assuming your existing Jandy is not too old going with Jandy is the least expensive. Otherwise you have to replace your entire control center. So you are kind of locked into Jandy. If your system is old then it wont take the iAqualink 2.0 and then cost comparisons with other systems become relevant.
