Add CYA?

Our pool is located in the middle of our back yard with no trees. It gets direct sunlight from morning until late afternoon. My stabilizer is currently 40. I am just starting the BBB process so my stabilizer was added using trichlor tablets. Was wondering if I should up my level or wait and see my chlorine usage for the next week or so now that we are off the trichlor.

Either way is OK. But, I think you probably will want to raise it to 50.

I would always want to see the chlorine demand before deciding to add CYA. It's easy to add, but difficult to remove.

CYA is still cya-----no matter how it got in there. Check your FC loss for a couple of days and see how it goes before adding more.
