Hello! Longtime pool designer and soon to be first-time owner!

Hello everyone! I'm a longtime lurker who has been designing pools in Texas for years and now I'm finally ready to cross the bridge and become a pool owner myself! I'm hoping to gather and share some ideas for our backyard; I really love what I've seen from the community here and I know I could get some great opinions and insight.

I may be able to provide some info or tips for people going through the motions of design and gunite construction... But rest assured, I've read the forum rules and won't drop any names or push any of my "builder bias". I'm excited to talk more with you all soon!

    Hi YFID,
    Welcome to TFP!

When you say designer, do you mean you just design them on paper Or do you build them too?

Anyways, enjoy the forum and we will be wanting to see pics of your pool once you get started on it!

I'm still in the industry, working as a designer for a large gunite builder. I'm excited to put what I've learned over the years to use on my family's pool!
